hey makalini...AK is quite right.....even we Mainiacs feel separated from the rest of the nation....kinda like it that way.........AK'ns have a special feeling toward those of the "lower 48"........I walked quite softly when I was there........I'd love to return.......you are not alone in your remoteness........

Cat learned her lessons well...lol....I did it to her last year......soooo......I deserve it....lmao.......I have been to AK.....above Fairbanks....missed the mid-night sun......I've been to San Diego........but, not Florida, Hawaii or Guam......prob. won't.........youngest son almost went to Hawaii to work...short term (I think).....but he stayed in the states...
